NASN– The School Nurse’s Partner

The National Association of School Nurses (NASN) and our state associations are more than organizations—they are our partners, our advocates, and an extension of our professional community. Together, they represent school nurses year-round, from our state capitols to the United States Capitol.

Through evidence-based position statements, high-quality webinars, and a comprehensive annual conference, NASN supports our continued growth and excellence in practice. SchoolNurseNet offers a valuable space to share expertise, ask questions, and learn from colleagues across the country.

Members stay informed and current through the NASN newsletter and the respected, peer-reviewed The Journal of School Nursing. And while many of us practice independently in our clinics, NASN ensures we are never truly alone—its resources and community are always within reach.

This is my unsolicited endorsement of NASN.  I wholeheartedly encourage you to become a NASN member and take full advantage of everything it offers. My own membership began in the late 1990s, and I can confidently say it has made me a more knowledgeable, connected, and well-rounded school nurse.

All the best, Cyndi Braun, BSN, RN, NCSN
